Thank you for addressing the grief we are all experiencing.
Please consider my novel “The Divine Comic,” which explores the relationship between two Jewish American sisters to each other and to Israel and Palestine. Spuyten Duyvil published it in 2020.
Thank you for this, Ruth. Yet another ray of light amidst the darkness. Now back to my cooking and doomscrolling. There is an anthology of contemporary Hebrew poets (translated by Tsipi Keller) I’ve been meaning to read for some time now.
Escaping into the Far North with THE MEMOIRS OF STOCKHOLM SVEN by Nathaniel Ian Miller. Not a perfect book (plot glitches?) but so evocative of snow and isolation. Just before this, A PIGEON AND A BOY by Meir Shalev...structural tour de force and beautiful.
Moving and heavy connections. Thanks for sharing this.
I've chanced upon your book about Holocaust literature and it seems like you are the greatest expert of them all who might answer this question.
Thanks, that's very kind of you to say.
