What Etty Hillesum's diary can—and cannot—tell us about Anne Frank.
Very interesting. I happened to have recently plucked Etty Hellesum's book (two in one) off my shelf and began rereading. It put me in a proper state of mind to read this entry. It's fascinating to compare her to Anne Frank, and to speculate about Anne Frank through her, with God as the third point of a triangle between them. Somehow that opens up worlds of wonder about both of them for me. Can't wait for your book!
Very well done, Ruth. What's the ETA for your book? Would love to hear you talk about how you confidently extract stand-alone pieces from a work in progress.
