Very interesting. I happened to have recently plucked Etty Hellesum's book (two in one) off my shelf and began rereading. It put me in a proper state of mind to read this entry. It's fascinating to compare her to Anne Frank, and to speculate about Anne Frank through her, with God as the third point of a triangle between them. Somehow that opens up worlds of wonder about both of them for me. Can't wait for your book!

Thanks so much, Steve! The book is scheduled for publication sometime in 2024. As for the stand-alone pieces, I'm kind of making it up as I go along ... but as I write, it's clear there are some subjects I want to say more about than feels directly relevant to Anne's life, as with this one.
